Love is our story. And our calling.

I was born in Tallulah, Louisiana, and life has taught me that being strong doesn’t mean you never struggle. It means you keep showing up, keep learning, and stay open to what God can rebuild. I haven’t lived a perfect life, and I don’t pretend to have every answer. What I share comes from what I’ve lived, what I’ve had to work through, and what I’ve learned along the way.

For more than a decade, my wife, Tondenisha, and I have walked alongside singles and couples through counseling and ministry. I’ve also spent more than 30 years working with and leading people from different walks of life. Those experiences have taught me the value of honest conversations, personal responsibility, grace, forgiveness, and giving people room to grow.

I’m a storyteller and poet at heart. I love a good laugh, good food, and conversations that allow people to take the mask off and feel seen.

Love Over Everything was built from what I believe and what life has taught me about the way we love God, ourselves, and one another. It’s bigger than any one book, conversation, or relationship. It’s a message and a way of living that makes room for truth, accountability, forgiveness, healing, boundaries, and grace.

That same message inspired me to write Love Over Everything, a book for people who are carrying more than they let on—for anyone trying to heal, love better, rebuild a relationship, or find hope in a part of life that still hurts. The book is one way I share the message, but the heart behind Love Over Everything reaches beyond its pages.

At the center of it all is the message I want people to carry with them: choose love over everything, and don’t put everything over love.

For Tondenisha, her relationship with the Lord is the foundation of how she approaches life, marriage, family, and the people she encounters along the way. Her desire to live in the image and likeness of Christ influences not only what she believes, but how she chooses to show up for others. It’s this same conviction that connects her so deeply to the purpose behind Love Over Everything.

Together with her husband, Charles Coleman, she is committed to creating a space where people can have meaningful conversations about the realities of life, faith, and relationships. Through counseling and speaking engagements, they share their experiences and perspectives with the hope of helping others navigate challenges, strengthen their relationships, and grow in their understanding of God’s design for love.

Tondenisha recognizes that spiritual growth is a lifelong journey, one that calls for self-examination and a willingness to allow God to transform the heart. She hopes her life and the work she does alongside Charles will encourage others to pursue a closer relationship with Christ and discover how that relationship can influence every area of their lives.
